Microsoft has thrown light on the coming year’s preview of Office 2019. This new productivity suite will be considered as a boon for those who may desire to work outside of the cloud. The first builds of Office 2019 will be launched in the back half of 2018, said The Redmond Giant. It will be believed as the first big “perpetual release” version since Office 2016 was launched around 2 years ago.
As the perpetual release version is different to the cloud-centric Office 365 suite, which has become one of the Redmond’s focal point during the control of Satya Nadella, Microsoft is speaking about the advantages that Office 2019 offer for offline use or you can say outside of the cloud applications.
We can also say that Microsoft, the big tech giant wishes the businesses that have not chosen Office 365 to know they have not been abandoned just yet. Jared Spataro, the general manager for Office wrote today that “Cloud-powered innovation is the prime theme at Ignite this week, but we have observed that switching to the cloud is a journey with many things along the way.
Microsoft Office 2019 will definitely be a worth upgrade for customers who feel that they want to keep some or all of their applications as well as servers on-premises. We positively look forward to share more details about the Office 2019 release in coming few months.
For end users, this upgraded version will incorporate new versions of the Office’s basic applications, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Furthermore, server versions will incorporate SharePoint, Skype for Business along with Exchange Server.
The new Office 2019 will provide better support for tablets by offering better support for pressure-sensitivity and ink replay, which is the playing back of pen strokes to draw or highlight a particular thing. Microsoft, the tech leader also says it will add more animation features in MS PowerPoint along with the new chart options and formulas for Excel Spreadsheets.
Be prepared for the next released that promises exciting offline features!
