Ryan Houghton – Motocross Racer
Ryan Houghton is an ancient motocross racer and he was intending to run a marathon with the support of the East Anglian Air Ambulance but unfortunately, he met with a crash and lost his life at Blaxhall in 2019. What actually happened is that he was competing in a race in the Maxxis British Championship in June 2019 and he had a crash at the Suffolk circuit. People find him suffering from severe injuries with a broken finger, a broken right femur, and two broken vertebrae. During the crash, the helmet was broken and he suddenly got unconscious however he was treated with on-site medications. Since then, he has never used his motorcycle.
On that fateful afternoon, Ryan Houghton was taken to Ipswich Hospital on the East Anglian Air Ambulance with full care. At that moment, it was confirmed that his professional career has come to end. After that, he started to work as a contract manager to survive his family, and also, his lifestyle has become much quieter than usual. Moreover, he also decided to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance with his close friend James Williams to appreciate the efforts they showed on that day.
Ryan Houghton was in a plan on how to raise money for EA Air ambulance and he thought about running a marathon for raising money. Despite having his knee and hip injuries, he was thinking to participate in the Chelmsford marathon in October along with his good friend James. It was the time when his friend was getting training for the Chelmsford marathon. They both were planning to hit the target of £5,000 on behalf of the huge event so they were asking the people to donate for the Air Ambulance. They were making a huge effort to raise money for the EA Air Ambulance.
