HOW MANY HOURS DOES IT TAKE TO WRITE A 1K WORDS IDEAL BLOG POST LENGTH?

This is a fundamental question that several new writers have been asking. We all had this question when we started. I could remember asking Mr. Prince, one of the guys that taught me how to write blog post lengths, how long it would take to write a 1k words blog. He told me it would take just a few hours. I did not believe him because then I did not know how to write any articles. I was fresh out of college, looking for the next best thing.

When I started writing blogs, I didn’t know the amount of time it would take me or if I were fast or slow. The thing is, different bloggers spend different amounts of time writing blogs.

Some bloggers spend around four hours writing a blog post.

How much time does it take?

If you are starting, as in this is your first time writing articles for anyone or any place, it could take you about five to six hours to write an excellent 1k words blog post. For bloggers that are experienced, it takes them about four hours to write a blog. It all depends on things like researching, writing, correcting grammar, and proofreading. Different bloggers spend a lot of time researching, and for these types of bloggers that research a lot, they are way more successful.

Bloggers that invest a lot of their time end up obtaining better results.

The research from HubSpot realized that marketers spend about one to two hours when they are writing five hundred words blog posts.

According to research, it takes about three hours and fifty-five minutes to write a thousand, two hundred and sixty-two words.

The data is entirely consistent when you look at it. Why does it take such an extended amount of time to write a thousand words blog? You would think it would take a lower amount of time to become a master at writing articles. Let us explore the entire blog creation process, shall we? Let us know why it takes so much time to create a one thousand-word blog post.

To write a blog post, you need to develop a topic that readers love to read.

This is a crucial step for you to create an excellent topic that is interesting and engaging. The topic you would choose would have a directly proportional impact on your post’s length.

List of ways bloggers come up with their topics

Let me list out some excellent ways successful bloggers come up with their topics.

  1. They research what different people in their niche are writing on.

Successful bloggers settle down before writing an article to check up on what their competition is writing about. Then they try to write a better blog post or article which would be more interesting than what their competition has to offer.

  1. They ask their readers what they want to hear.

Successful bloggers also ask their readers and their visitors about the things they would love to read.  This way, they would get straight-up answers and then write what their audience wants specifically.

  1. They enter social media and get inspired.

There’s a blog I write for. It is a blog related to toys. Whenever I want to write about my toys blog, I go on to Twitter and check out what my competition is writing. They usually have updated details on what’s happening around the world faster than me. This way, I read what my blog competition has written, and then I end up writing very inspiring, engaging articles about similar topics.

  1. They share stories and anecdotes that are related to their niche

At times you could write a short story of someone, something exciting and engaging. This would keep your audience interested, and they would want to come back and reread your excellent articles. Everyone loves reading personalized things. That’s why personalized articles have a lot of comments because a lot of people can relate with these experiences.

  1. They look out for frequent questions and get solutions.

Everyone has a problem they want to get solutions for. If you search for the problems or the questions your audience has been asking, you can always answer these questions and keep your audience happy.

After you get your topic, you know your blog post length. If it would take time, you should break it down and tackle it one after the other. You can do this.
