How do you install Office Setup on your computer?
Sign in/ Sign up for Microsoft Office
- Open an updated web browser and go to office.com/setup
- Click on ‘Sign in’ button if you have an existing account
- Else, hit on ‘Create a new account’ if you do not have an account on office.com/myaccount
- Enter all the required details
- Follow the on-screen prompts and complete the sign up by submitting the form
- Purchase subscription
- On your profile, go to the product section and in case you do not find the product menu, go to the official page of Microsoft Office 365.
- Expand the product menu and go through the packages and pick the one you want to purchase
- Click on your choice of Office setup product
- You will have Buy now option, click on it to continue for the billing process
- Enter the details and complete the purchase process
As you get the subscription of an Office setup product, you will receive a unique Office setup product on the registered email address (ID that you used while billing process). Make sure you keep your Office setup product key saved, as you will need it while reactivating or renewing of the software.

Download Office Setup
- Click on the download link or button given adjacent to the product name
- If you want to download a Free trial of MS Office setup then find the free product and download it
Install MS Office Setup
- Double-click on the file you recently downloaded
- Choose to launch Office Setup installation
- Select or answer the question you are being asked for
- Follow the prompts and enter your Office setup product key in the field
- Submit the option and complete the installation process
Make sure you do not close the installation window or shut down the computer, as it will cause MS Office installation errors. Now MS Office setup is installed on your computer. How do you Activate MS Office?
- Click on the start button and search for MS Office Word for example
- As the application opens up on the screen, you will notice a highlighted banner on the top of the page with Activate or Reactivate button
- Click on the button
- You will be directed to office.com/myaccount, login if required
- Enter the product key in the respective field
- Submit the key and complete the activation
You have now activated the MS Office software. To confirm if the steps have worked for you, open any random Office application and check if there is any highlighted banner or not.
