What Is Color Temperature?
The color temperature is a basic description of the coolness and warmth of a light source. When metal gets heated the color and the light that it admits will change. Most types of lighting start as a red appearance and they can eventually move into orange, white, yellow and blue. The temperature of the metal and the look of the light is measured in degrees of Kelvin based on the absolute temperature. White lamps that are not incandescent light LEDs work to mimic these color patterns. Kelvins for LEDs are only used to describe the colors rather than the temperature.
Yellow to red colors are considered to be warm colors, blue or green colors are considered cool. Cool light is often sought after for visual tasks and for efficiency because it offers higher contrast than warm light. Although there are vintage and filament LED bulbs which are designed for color temperatures of a lower rating, these are more for ambience rather than for efficiency.
Color temperature can be important especially when you are considering your business. Most LED lighting is designed to be cool types of lighting, but this lighting can be heavily customized to include soft lighting and other additions that can work at improving the ambience in your business. Simply by switching over to LED lighting from traditional style lighting, you may notice that there is an improvement in safety and efficiency. Cool lighting is often associated with improved levels of energy and accuracy of work.
